Easter Egg Delivery Fundraiser

The Hope Church of St. Charles’ Team “Get Your Hopes up” has found a new way to get the Easter Rabbit to help raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

The fundraiser is called “Egg my Yard” and allows individuals to buy candy-filled eggs that team members will deliver and will even scatter in the front lawn. Deliveries will be made on Easter-Eve. On Easter morning, the kids find the yard covered in eggs.

“Each egg order will contain one empty egg. This egg is a reminder of Jesus empty tomb.” The eggs are being bought pre-filled, which in itself is helping a nonprofit center that employs disabled people who do the stuffing.

While this idea came from a Relay For Life group, it could be easily adapted by your church group.

We have included a number of do-it-yourself fundraising ideas in this section that offer a break from traditional product sales.  They were developed by groups just like yours in an attempt have a little fun with their fundraiser. Some of them are tried and true while others show a lot of creativity … and even wackiness in some cases.  All of them are obviously not appropriate for every group, but sometimes, with only a little modification, your might find some fund raising ideas that are perfect for your group. If you have an idea for a do-it-yourself fund raiser you are willing to share with others, please send it to us via email. Include anything and everything you would want to know if you were hearing the idea for the first time.
