AVID Fundraising Ideas

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination is a college readiness system for elementary through higher education that is designed to increase school wide learning and performance.   As with all non-profits, fundraising is essential to keeping AVID programs going.  If you’re in charge of fundraisers for your local AVID club, you know how hard it can be.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do.  In Dare County, North Carolina, First Flight High School AVID students took some of the burden off of holiday shoppers by providing gift wrapping as a fundraiser to earn money towards a college field trip.  In Liliha, Hawaii,  AVID students from  Kawananakoa Middle School hold a McTeacher Night fundraiser to support the KMS’ AVID program.  Fundraisers by other AVID Clubs include book sales, spa package discounts, auctions, candy sales, restaurant nights, and dinners.

Check out our complete list of fundraising products and do-it-yourself fundraising ideas for your next AVID fundraiser.

You can also choose from a wide variety of DIY AVID Club fundraising ideas to supplement your fundraising program.  How about a cookie sale, a bakeless bake sale, silent auction, crazy hat day, pajama day, or thons of every type?  Perhaps one of these successful and creative ideas can be adapted for your fundraiser.
