Big Brothers Big Sisters Fundraising Ideas

Big Brothers and Big Sisters have been mentoring the youth of America since 1904 with the idea of helping them achieve their full potential through one-on-one relationships.  Often times the Big Brother or Big Sister want to get their Little Brother or Sister involved in fundraising for a good cause to teach the importance of giving back.  Some chapters hold fundraisers to support the on-going efforts of the club in their community.

The number one fundraiser adopted by the Big Brother Big Sister program nationwide has been Bowling benefits of every size, shape and form, but a few others have had other ideas.  In, Vineland, NJ, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties holds an annual “The Big Night” fundraiser, an evening of fine wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres pairing along with a silent and live auction.  In Florence, SC, residents had the opportunity to taste some of the best barbeque in the state at the Big Brothers/Big Sisters BBQ Cook-off fundraiser.  Fundraisers by other Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters include, golf classics, chili cook-offs, pizza nights and marathons.
