Dixie Baseball Fundraising Ideas

The Dixie Network consists of Dixie Youth Baseball, Dixie Softball, and Dixie Boys & Majors Baseball. Dixie baseball teams often find themselves needing a fundraiser to pay for uniforms, equipment, improvements to the field or travel expenses for tournaments. Fundraising is never easy, but your Dixie team is worth it.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Lexington, SC, the Columbia Blowfish came to town to help with a fundraiser for Lexington Dixie Youth Baseball by conducting a baseball clinic, played an exhibition game, and held a post-game fireworks show. In Marbury, AL, the Dixie Baseball League threw an End of Season celebration which was day of fun to celebrate the end of a great baseball season and as a fundraiser for next season.  Fundraisers by other Dixie Baseball teams include, golf tournaments, thons, product sales, auctions, restaurant nights, and on-line malls.

Celebrity Autographs – This fundraiser can take weeks or even months of planning, but can bring in a lot of dough for your group with very little up-front cost. Write to every celebrity you can think of and ask for an autographed something to auction off at your fundraising event. Lots of people collect autographs of the rich and famous. Send best-quality, blank note cards to famous people with a POLITE request for them to sign the supplied cards and the reason why you are asking. These guys may not be home, so be patient. Read more…
