Jaycees Fundraising Ideas

The United States Junior Chamber (JCs or more commonly Jaycees) is a leadership training and civic organization for people between the ages of 18 and 41. Areas of emphasis are business development, management skills, individual training, community service, and international connections. Jaycees spend a lot of time fundraising… many Jaycees chapters are responsible for the communities annual fireworks display and 4th of July festivities, others will hold a fundraiser for other worthy community charities.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. The Manitowoc, WI Jaycees hosted the annual Indoor Olympics Fundraiser which kicks off with an opening ceremony at a local bar and grill, and ends with a closing ceremony after a day full of competition involving three-person teams facing off in events such as pool, connect four, music trivia, memory game, the dart game 301, tippy cup, Pictionary, shut the box, bean bags, the left right center dice game and beer pong. In Illinois, the Crystal Lake Jaycees held an “Inaugural Natural Raffle” fundraiser with  prizes including an assortment of organic meats, wellness services and natural products. Fundraisers by other Jaycee chapters include trivia nights, dances, thons, game days, pizza contests, auctions, raffles, dinners, golf tournaments, and product sales.
