Junior Class fundraiser

Junior Class Fundraising Ideas

When junior year rolls around for high school students, many of them start considering their future beyond high school. Juniors in college start considering their future in the “real world”. But for all it is a time to revel in the high school or college experience and to get involved with fundraising and other worth-while activities… and yes, it also looks good on a college application or a recent graduates resume. Fundraising is challenging, but rewarding.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In New Hartford, CT, junior class fundraising includes car washes, yard sales, raking leaves, mowing lawns, and a dozen or more other events to throw a first class junior prom. In Swampscott, MA, juniors hold an annual live auction fundraiser which has been a tradition at Swampscott High School for many, many years. Fundraisers by other Junior classes include bike shows, penny drives, candy grams, concerts, thons, bake sales, talent shows, trivia nights, restaurant nights, spinning classes, raffles, dating games, product sales, yoga classes and donation jars.

Do-It-Yourself Junior Class Fundraiser

You can also choose from a wide variety of Junior class DIY fundraising ideas to supplement your program. How about Mascot Pride, Karaoke Night, Crazy Hat Day, Dog Walk, or thons of every type? Perhaps one of these successful and creative ideas can be adapted for your class fundraiser.

Spirit Chain - This is a great fundraiser for high school students, but could be used with other groups. Have a competition within the different classes in the school (senior, junior, sophomore, freshmen) to see who has the most school spirit. Each class has two colors that their paper chain consists of. Sell each strip of paper for 25 or 50 cents. Read more…

Teacher Torture – For this fundraiser, the school principal picks as many teachers as he/she feels will willingly participate - no party poopers! The principal also has to play (to be fair of course). The principal then selects an "appropriate" activity that each teacher has to do such as: kiss a pig, color hair a wild color, dress outrageously, roller skate, etc. Be creative! Have fun! Read me…

Penny Drive - Here's an easy and fun fundraising idea suitable for any school or other organization with different classes or groups to set up some competition. It's called a penny drive. Each class or team competes against the all others. Each class decorates a large jar for their collections. Read more…
