Pep Squad Fundraising

Pep squads are found in high schools, middle schools and sometimes elementary schools in the United States. The pep squad's main duty is to promote school spirit. Pep squad members make posters, cheer for school sports teams, and help with pep rallies. They also are usually very much involved in school fundraising efforts as well as holding fundraising events for the squad itself to pay for uniform or travel expenses.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In La Crescenta, CA, the High School Pep Squad fundraiser was selling “bling” in the form of apparel and accessories featuring the school’s mascot Falcon and school colors all “blinged out” with rhinestones. In Glendale, OR, The newly formed Glendale Pep Squad held a Bake Sale fundraiser to upgrade their uniforms. Fundraisers by other pep squads include cheer-offs, car washes, product sales, spare change drives, clinics, and dinners.

For 36 years, Territory Days has provided thousands of visitors with a chance to enjoy live music, sink their teeth into turkey legs and graze the selections of hundreds of vendors. But a group of about 50 people added something fresh to the historical three-day festival in Old Colorado City. Read more…

Tacky Yard - This fundraiser really works! Get a few people to dress up in ragged clothes. Find an old pickup truck and fill the back with yard junk. Some pink flamingoes, a toilet, car parts (preferably rusty but don't cut yourself!), whatever you might find in a cluttered messy lawn. Get some tacky lawn chairs and head out to the homes of your friends and neighbors when you know they are home. Read more…
