Softball Team Fundraising Ideas

Whether you play slow pitch or fast pitch, on a school team or in a community league, many soft teams find that they need to have a fundraising event, to buy uniforms, new equipment, make improvements to the playing field or maybe for a local or national charity. Since people of all ages and abilities can play softball, it’s often a go-to fundraising option in itself.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Henderson, NC, local first responders and the Henderson County Senior Softball league played exhibition games against the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team as a fundraiser for homeless veterans. In Gross Pointe, MI, they auctioned off the naming rights to the new softball/baseball community field as a fundraiser to help offset the costs of building and running the facility. Fundraisers by other Softball teams include dinners, speed pitching machines, pitching lessons, student-alumni games, raffles, thons, and product sales.
