Tee-Ball Fundraising Ideas

Playing Tee-Ball is how most kids learn the game of baseball. Tee-Ball teams hold a fundraiser to purchase equipment, maintain the fields, buy uniforms or to raise money for a local charity, a person in need, or a good cause near and dear to the team. Fundraising can be challenging, and thinking of ways to get little children involved can sometimes be a challenge in and of itself.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Newport, NC, the local Tee-ball League’s first fundraiser of the season is always selling team t-shirts and hats to the parents, and it’s always a big success. In New York, The Staten Island Tee-Ball and Little League raised money with an online fundraiser to rebuild the facility destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Fundraisers by other Tee-Ball teams include product sales, restaurant nights, bake sales, raffles, auctions, exhibition games, team photos, dinners, and thons.

How about Cookie Sales, Arrest a Fan, Mom-o-Gram, Miniature Golf Tournament, or thons of every type? Perhaps one of these successful and creative ideas can be adapted for your Tee-ball team fundraiser.

Trike-a-Thon - Hold a fundraising "Trike-a-thon". It is exactly what it sounds like. Make it an athletic challenge where young children get donations per lap that they will ride on their tricycles on a given day or flat donations.  Read more…

Guessing Game - A guessing game is so simple than many groups never think of it and is appropriate fundraising for school groups, sports teams, civic clubs, adult work places - just about anywhere. There are many versions but the principle is the same for each. Participants are given the opportunity to guess something and they pay for each guess. Read more…

Children’s Cookbook - Involve the whole school in writing a book of the children's favorite recipes. This is a hilarious and profitable fundraising idea. Ask each child in the school to tell you: 1) What they are going to cook; 2) What ingredients they will need; 3) How do they make their recipe; 4) How do they cook their recipe; 5) Draw a picture of what they want to cook. Write the children's responses down exactly as they tell them to you. Read more…
