Track Team Fundraising Ideas

Track and field is a sport comprising various competitive athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing. It’s a combination of lots of different events and each has its own special equipment and requirements. Maybe that’s why so many track and field teams rely on fundraising events to keep their venue up to par, to purchase new or replace old equipment and to off-set travel expenses. Some teams use their facilities to host fundraising events for charities, such as Relay for Life.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Three Rivers, MI men in high heels walked around the track at Three Rivers High School for the “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” fundraising event. In New Jersey, the Pleasantville School Board of Education organized a Pleasantville Greyhounds Beef-n-Beer Fundraiser to raise awareness and money to allow the local 4x800 meter relay team to compete at the National Championships. Fundraisers by other Track teams includes relay meets, dinners, auctions, product sales, restaurant nights, bake sales, raffles, dinners, and thons.
