Pregnant Belly Billboard Fundraiser

This unique idea is truly not for everyone! A Yuma, Arizona mom offered to sell ad space on her belly with the proceeds of her unique rental going to the pediatrics division of Yuma Medical Center through her work with MOMS Club of Yuma. Yuma businesses could advertise on billboards, in the newspaper or on radio and television stations – but the mom offered them another option: her belly. If businesses step forward, the funds generated would go toward the Pediatric Cuddle Kit Program sponsored by the MOMS Club of Yuma West. The local nonprofit organization provides a stuffed animal, a book and an activity in a pillowcase to children in the pediatrics unit at Yuma Regional Medical Center. The mom said she would negotiate with businesses and wear their advertisement at a chosen event, such as the fair, but they have to hurry, because time is running out. She said she has painted her belly with her prior three pregnancies for fun occasions like Halloween, and is known for “this belly-painting thing, anyway.” [Before you ask … we don’t know the results of this unusual fundraiser.] Source: Anonymous
