Junior League Fundraising Ideas

Since its founding in 1901, The Junior League has evolved into one of the oldest, largest, and most effective women’s volunteer organizations in the world. For more than a century, The Junior League has been on the forefront of social reform, identifying problems—pollution, illiteracy, domestic violence, foster children without a safety net—and finding solutions. And inevitably that mean fundraising. Fundraising in a tough economy is never easy, no matter how worthy the cause.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Corpus Christi, TX, the Junior League offered the community an opportunity to catch some great bargains on some historic items at an antique furniture fundraiser. The Junior League in Charlottesville, VA holds an annual casino night fundraiser. An annual poinsettia fundraiser is a staple of the Junior League of Ogden, UT.  Fundraisers by other Junior Leagues include fashion shows, dinners, poinsettia sales, golf tournaments, cookbooks, girls night outs, consignment boutiques, and holiday gift markets.
