College Fundraising Ideas

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In San Fernando, CA, hundreds of students, teachers and parents of Naparima College trekked through the streets of San Fernando as a fundraiser to purchase a maxi-taxi for their school. While they walked, students kept their eyes peeled for clues about the city as they participated in the “Know your city treasure hunt.” Carrying note pads and pencils, the students searched for clues to win prizes. In New York, a performance unlike any other at the College of Staten Island had taste buds dancing. Savor the Flavors, a scholarship fundraising event hosted by the CSI Alumni Association, lured more than 200 hungry attendees to the campus to sample food and beverages from 30 restaurant vendors, including a brewery and winery. Fundraisers by other college groups include thons, bake sales, chili feeds, yoga classes, Facebook, discount cards, raffles, and temporary tattoos.
