Sorority Fundraising Ideas

Sororities are all about Sisterhood. Sisterhood is all about sharing, and sororities share a lot. Sharing often translates into fundraising. They may need to have a fundraiser to fix up the sorority house or to pay for annual events. Many sororities also hold a fundraiser for a variety of good causes, local and national charities, or to help a sister in need.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. The Marshall University Sorority Pan-Hellenic Council hosted a Bingo fundraiser in the Student Center. At Southeastern Louisiana University, the Theta Phi Alpha Sorority spent several days in the War Memorial Student Union see-sawing as a fundraiser for Maya’s Cause, the chapter’s local philanthropy which donates to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. Fundraisers by other sororities include spa treatments, thons, serenading for cash, don’t come events, maid for a day, and car washes.
