Elementary School Fundraising Ideas

Schools often get students involved in fundraising, but what is appropriate for high school or middle school may not be appropriate for elementary schools. Often it’s the parents and teachers who do the heavy-lifting when it comes to Elementary School fundraisers, but the students are usually involved.

Radio Days – This fundraiser is really exciting for kids. A local radio station reserves one day each year for the Pioneer Lions to read commercial advertisements “live” on the air which club members have previously sold to area merchants. Good Grades – For our group, we do a fundraiser based on each child’s report card. Band members get pledges for A’s & B’s they receive with the proceeds going to our school band. Ugly Tie Contest – For this fundraiser, allow the children to each decorate a man’s neck tie. Use all sorts of tacky things to glue on the ties… buttons, lace, small toys, flowers, etc. Display the ties in a prominent location in your church. Put a jar or bucket beneath each tie.
