Freshman Class Fundraising Ideas

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Hamilton, NY, Colgate University hosted a special mixed-doubles tennis tournament fundraiser in honor of the 8–year-old boy that died in the Boston Marathon bombing. In Wisconsin, every year the 9th grade class does only one fundraising event as a class. They sell magazines to help pay for events such as: Homecoming Dance costs during their sophomore year, Prom during their junior year, costs associated with graduation, and scholarships for those in their class. Fundraisers by other Freshman classes include yoga classes, candy grams, concerts, thons, bake sales, talent shows, trivia nights, garage sales, restaurant nights, spinning classes, raffles, dating games, product sales, car washes and donation jars.
