Drill Team Fundraising Ideas

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Alabama, the Covington Cowgirls Drill Team’s hold an annual St. Jude’s Trail Ride fundraiser to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. The drill team just asks them to make a donation for St. Jude’s. A drill team holds two a Jr. Drill fundraiser each year to help cover expenses. Fundraisers by other Drill Teams include fitness competitions, recitals, dinners, thons, product sales, auctions, restaurant nights, and holiday gift wrapping.

Movie Night – Many organizations rent a movie and hold movie night fundraising events. This works especially well if you have a large room and projection/large screen TV. Make money by charging a single price for the movie and refreshments; provide the movie free but sell refreshments; or charge nothing and just ask for donations. Food Fight – In Lawrence, New Jersey, a fundraising event was the ultimate food fight, a chocolate lover’s dream and a neat-freak’s nightmare.
