Elks Lodge Fundraising Ideas

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE; also often known as the Elks Lodge or simply The Elks, is an American fraternal order and social club founded in 1868. It is one of the leading fraternal orders in the U.S. The Elks throw all kinds of fundraisers for community charities or for their own lodge, to make repairs or improvements. Fundraising is challenging but also very rewarding.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In New Jersey, the Hoboken Elks Lodge transformed into a Casino for one night as a fundraiser for the Hoboken Rotary’s Scholarship Program for high school students. In Fairbury, NE, Elks Lodge No. 1203 hoped to turn its members’ unwanted items into building renovations following a two-day garage sale fundraiser. Fundraisers by other Elks Lodges include dinners, auctions, dances, trivia nights, coin blitzes and product sales.
