Lions Club Fundraising Ideas

Lions Clubs International (LCI) is a secular service organization. They like to say, “Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller.” Like all service organizations, Lions spend a lot of their time fundraising for their latest project or local or global charity. How can you make your next Lions Club fundraiser stand out among the rest?

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In New York, the Rockville Centre Mayor was joined by the Nassau County Executive and Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman at the annual RVC Lion’s Club “Dinner in the Dark” soiree at Rockville Links. The fundraising event was focused upon raising awareness and aid for those afflicted with blindness and other vision impairments and as the name implies, the attendees dined in complete darkness. In Vicksburg, MI, the 40th annual Lions Club Summer Festival was the Club’s biggest annual fundraiser, featured beer and brats, competitive events including horseshoes and volleyball, live entertainment and other activities. Fundraisers by other Lions clubs include cook-offs, photo calendar, swim-for-sight, candy days, golf outings, thons, pancake breakfasts, wine & beer tasting, and bingo.
