Pop Warner Fundraising Ideas

Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer & dance programs for participants in 42 states and several countries around the world. Many Pop Warner teams and squads hold a fundraiser for new uniforms, new equipment and field improvements. Other Pop Warner teams and squads get involved with local fundraising events which benefit their community.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Warren, NJ, golfers who needed an excuse to get in an extra round or just wanted a day of helping one of the area’s most successful youth sports programs joined the annual golf outing fundraiser to benefit Watchung Hills Pop Warner football and cheer program. In Massachusetts, the South Boston Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading Program held a “Hoedown Throwdown” fundraiser with raffles and costume contests. Fundraisers by other Pop Warner teams include product sales, restaurant nights, bake sales, raffles, auctions, exhibition games, clinics, team photos, dinners, and thons.

Reverse Raffle – A fundraising reverse raffle is one where you don’t want to win. Give a free ticket to everyone attending a regular organization meeting or special event. Tell them they are automatically included in the drawing for a special prize. If they don’t want to be eligible for the prize, they can “sell” their ticket for $1 to $10 – depending on your attendees. Read more…

Food Fight – In Lawrence, New Jersey, it was the ultimate fundraiser, a food fight, a chocolate lover’s dream and a neat-freak’s nightmare. But for the 670 people who participated, it meant much more. The Lawrenceville School hosted the potentially record-breaking chocolate custard pie fight at a campus field. Read more…
