Tennis Team Fundraising Ideas

Tennis is fantastic exercise, and if your school or your community has tennis courts, chances are they have a tennis team or a tennis league. Chances are also pretty good that the tennis team or tennis league will need to do some fundraising at some point, to maintain the courts, maybe add lights or a snack bar or bleachers, to hire trainers or purchase new equipment. Many tennis teams and leagues also have a fundraiser for charity.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. In Appleton, WI, a nonprofit group aimed at saving tennis courts in city parks hosted a wine-tasting fundraiser with raffles and boat rides. In Pearl River, NY, 200 participants took to the tennis courts at Pearl River High School for the first fundraiser for a scholarship fund honoring the memory of a student who lost his battle with cancer. Fundraisers by other Tennis teams includes exhibitions, auctions, clinics, product sales, restaurant nights, bake sales, raffles, dinners, and thons.
