Wrestling Fundraising Ideas

Wrestling teams hold a fundraiser for many reasons, new and improved equipment and uniforms (singlets), travel expenses, for local, national and international charities, or to help one of their own fulfill a dream or overcome a hardship, injury or illness. Fundraising can be challenging, but it can also be rewarding.

One of the biggest decisions is often deciding what type of fundraiser to do. The South Jersey Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association held a “beef and beer” fundraiser calling it “The Rally for Wrestling Reunion” for the USA Wrestling’s Committee for the Preservation of Wrestling. In Hot Springs, AR, the Southern Hills Wrestling Club held a garage-sale fundraiser to assist a local wrestler defray expenses associated with competing in the Disney Duals National Wrestling Meet. Fundraisers by other Wrestling teams include exhibition matches, restaurant nights, dinners, thons, and raffles.
