You’ve Been Ducked

To raise money for their 6th grade celebration, my son’s 6th grade class did a variation of the Flamingo Flocking fundraiser, we called it: “You’ve Been Ducked”. We purchased jumbo yellow rubber ducks, and students paid $10 to decorate a duck (we called them tricked out ducks) … and we separated the ducks in to three flocks. Two were traveling flocks and one was a request only flock. We provided Duck Insurance for $10. Traveling flocks requested donations, but we removed them from the yards within 24 hours, and the request flock asked $10 to be sent to someone’s home. At the end, the ducks were pretty banged up because they were out in the elements. but we brought them to the last dance of the year, and kids got to take them home after.
