Pet Calendar Fundraiser

The St. Augustine, Florida, Humane Society’s used a pet calendar fundraiser photo program to support its mission to prevent pet overpopulation with affordable spay neuter programs and to eliminate the need to relinquish pets to shelters. The organization’s “Pin Up Paws” calendar fundraiser allowed donors to submit a photo of their pet to be featured in the calendar. There was no charge to submit the photos and friends could vote for the pet for the owners to win prizes. Approximately 2,500 colorful, full-size calendars were printed to depict the human-animal bond. The calendars were distributed as thank you gifts to calendar photo fundraiser participants who raised more than 100 votes and to volunteers. The remaining calendars were available for sale. Top photos for the calendar were judged on creativity and originality, and determined by public voting along with contest judges including St. Augustine Humane Society staff and members of the Board of Directors.

We have included a number of do-it-yourself fundraising ideas in this section that offer a break from traditional product sales.  They were developed by groups just like yours in an attempt have a little fun with their fundraiser. Some of them are tried and true while others show a lot of creativity … and even wackiness in some cases.  All of them are obviously not appropriate for every group, but sometimes, with only a little modification, your might find some fund raising ideas that are perfect for your group. If you have an idea for a do-it-yourself fund raiser you are willing to share with others, please send it to us via email. Include anything and everything you would want to know if you were hearing the idea for the first time.
