Cheap Little Tarts FundraisingWe are a medieval re-creation group, mostly interested in archery. Supplies and equipment for archery shoots can really add up and we recently held a fundraiser to help. We attended a fair of sorts which lasted an entire day at a state park. We purchased small tart shells (not the crumb crust type) and filled them with various puddings and pie fillings we made up from grocery-store mixes. The chocolate went first, of course, and the one that didn't sell well was the cherry filling. We sold them for a dollar apiece, and made over $100 in only a couple of hours. We plan to repeat this event and add a lemonade or iced tea drink and picnic tables to sit at. We found that the name on the booth alone brought people over to see what we were doing, and once they knew we were fundraising, they couldn't resist. |

We have included a number of do-it-yourself fundraising ideas in this
section such as Cheap Little Tarts that offer a break from traditional
product sales. They were developed by groups just like yours in an
attempt have a little fun with their fundraiser. Some of them are tried
and true while others show a lot of creativity ... and even wackiness in
some cases. All of them are obviously not appropriate for every
group, but sometimes, with only a little modification, your might find
some fund raising ideas that are perfect for your group. If you have an
idea for a do-it-yourself fund raiser you are willing to share with
others, please send it to us via email at |
