Radio Days Fundraiser
A local radio station reserves one day each year for the Pioneer Lions to read commercial advertisements “live” on the air which club members have previously sold to area merchants. The club receives 60 percent of the revenues from commercials sold. The fundraising activity continues from six in the morning until six at night. Two or more Lions man each shift along with the radio station disk jockeys. Lions read the commercials live, and tell the radio audience about who the Lions are and what we do in the community. The project is both financially rewarding and good for Lions Community Projects. Source: Longview Pioneer Lions (Longview, Washington)
