by other groups such as yours. Some are
traditional, some are unusual, and some are totally bizarre! We hope

Chattanooga, TN - The LongHorn
Steakhouse in Chattanooga is banding together to host a
Pancake Breakfast fundraising event on Saturday, from 9 to
11 a.m. to benefit one of its own. All proceeds from the
event will benefit a LongHorn Steakhouse team member who was
recently injured in an accident. A donation of $5 includes a
pancakes and sausage breakfast, along with other
refreshments. |
Buffalo, NY - Elim Christian
Fellowship in Buffalo will be the site of an uplifting
evening of fundraising and gospel music featuring some
of the brightest lights in Buffalo's vibrant gospel
community: Pastor Rhonda Henderson; Wynetta Hall-Meelveen;
Jada Spight; and three choirs - The Elim Christian
Fellowship Choir, 1st Calvary Missionary Baptist Church
and New Mt. Ararat Temple of Prayer Directed by Preston
Brown. It is a fundraiser for Back to Basics Outreach
Ministries. |

Bradford, PA - It was a night to
savor some sweet goodness while celebrating all The
Salvation Army does in the Bradford community. On
Monday, The Salvation Army held an Elegance in Chocolate
fundraising event at the Masonic Lodge. The event was a
night for individuals to gather over cookies, pies,
chocolate, as well as other treats, including a
chocolate fountain. There was also live music along with
auctions. All proceeds from the event benefited the
Bradford Salvation Army. |
Westminster, CO – Bike MS is the
National MS Society’s largest fundraising event in
Colorado, and offers something for every level of bike
rider. The two-day event kicks off at Front Range
Community College in Westminster and winds up the Front
Range to end at Colorado State University in Fort
Collins. Participants stay the night in Fort Collins and
then ride back to Westminster the next day. |

Norfolk, NE - The Norfolk Art Center
held an event unlike any other they’ve hosted before…VIBE, a
fundraiser with a twist. The event comes as the Norfolk Art
Center could lose up to half of its state funding. Local
artists have designed unique wine glasses which will be
auctioned off as “Bottomless” during the event. All proceeds
go towards fueling the Art Center and their mission of
bringing people and the arts together. |
Stamford, CT - Carozza Fitness will
merge ice cold brews and yoga at a fundraising party Friday
June 2 at its Glenbrook studio to benefit the Bennett Cancer
Center at Stamford Hospital. Tickets for Beer Yoga are $25,
$15 for just yoga and $10 just for beer. Most of the
hundreds of teams that participate in the Hope in Motion
event host some kind of fundraising event or party in the
period before the June 4 Hope in Motion Walk and Run to
benefit the Bennett Cancer Center. The center has set a
fundraising goal of $1 million for the 2017 event. |

Middlebury, IN - Cycling met
philanthropy at Northridge High School Saturday morning as
approximately 250 cyclists hit the pavement to show their
support for the 45th annual ADEC Ride-A-Bike fundraising
event. Ride-A-Bike serves as the main fundraiser for ADEC, a
Bristol-based nonprofit that serves more than 1,000 people
with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Elkhart
and St. Joseph counties. |
Steubenville, OH - Steubenville
Big Red students raised awareness and helped fight
cancer with a fundraising march from the high school to
the public library on Friday morning. The Rotary
Interact Club at the school led the march, which brought
in just over $4,000 that will be donated to the Relay
for Life. “Everyone is really excited,” Big Red Rotary
Club President Lauren Farrell said. “We're walking today
to raise money for cancer research, we're just having a
good time.” |

Sault Ste. Marie, ON - For many
years, Sault College’s Hairstyling Program has been
committed to helping those affected by hair loss as a result
of cancer treatment. There will be a fundraiser for the
Hair’s To You program, Sault College’s Hairstyling Program
that provides personalized consultations and fittings of
wigs for cancer patients to borrow/take home as well as
ongoing maintenance inclusive of wig cleaning, sanitization
and personalized styling to help patients gain confidence
and strength throughout their journey. The Hair’s To You
fundraising campaign will kick off with a Dinner and Wig
Fashion Show at Grand Gardens North on Tuesday, beginning
with cocktails, followed by dinner. |
Georgetown, SC - The sun hid
behind the clouds, but the rain stayed a safe distance
away Saturday, while 150 paddlers in kayaks made their
way down Black Mingo Creek for the 6th annual Tara Hall
Paddle Fest. The event is the largest fundraiser of the
year for the Tara Hall Home for Boys which accepts
neglected, troubled and abused boys in Georgetown
County. The Christ-centered, long-term residential
school strives to develop moral, social, educational and
life skills, thus building responsible contributing
adults, while providing services to their families. |

Knoxville, TN - The Dancing for the
Horses fundraising event raised a record amount of donations
for Horse Haven of Tennessee. The event raised $115,500,
surpassing last year's amount of $95,000. Saturday evening's
event took place at Bridgewater Place and paired
professional dancers with local celebrities to compete on
the dance floor and raise money for Horse Haven of
Tennessee. The evening included dinner, a silent auction and
a photo booth with Twinkie, the Horse Haven mascot. |
Titusville, PA - A week of
fundraising activities kept Pleasantville Elementary
students rocking around the clock for a charitable cause.
Students and teachers not only participated in rock and
roll-themed events, but also raised $1,700 for Relay for
Life. This year’s theme of rock and roll inspired events,
including a popular dime drive, called “Put Another Dime in
the Jukebox.” Empty water bottles were put into classrooms.
Students were able to put dimes in the “jukebox” - the
bottles - as a fundraiser. Pleasantville Elementary students
and staff had completely filled seven water bottles,
totaling $700 in funds raised. |

Kuala Lumpur - Over 500 people,
and a fair number of superbikes, from across the Klang
Valley gathered at Tasputra Perkim here for a joyful
fundraising event held to aid children with special
needs. At about 10am this morning, some 50 Harley
Davidson bikes gathered to support the fundraising event
at Tasputra Perkim, a daycare centre for special needs
kids. Harley Owners Group, Kuala Lumpur Chapter
director, Roslan Ismail, said they decided to join the
event as they had heard that the center was struggling
financially. |
Dallas, TX - Volunteers are still
standing in Victory Plaza at a fundraising event to raise
money for military families. The Stand to Honor volunteers
will remain on their feet until they raise $1 million. Their
goal is to provide scholarship money for the families of 200
fallen soldiers. The volunteers said hearing from people
about why they want to help has kept them going. The public
is still welcome to volunteer to stand or donate to help
reach the $1 million goal. |

Sherrodsville, OH - “Keep your
attitude greater than your adversity” is the motto of
Sports for Sound, the name of a fundraiser and an
organization that helps the hearing-impaired in
Tuscarawas and Carroll counties. Its fourth annual event
is scheduled for Saturday at the Eastern Ohio Sports
Complex near Sherrodsville. Since it started, the
charity has helped 27 people. |
Temecula, CA - This year’s Taste Of
Temecula Valley fundraising event attracted 4-5,000
attendees and 66 vendors participated, including numerous
local restaurants, 12 fine wineries and 10 craft breweries.
Over 225 volunteers served between the two days, including
school district employees, union members and teachers.
Approximately 250 visitors enjoyed the VIP experience:
all-you can eat/drink and reserved concert seating. Proceeds
went to The Temecula Education Foundation, which provides
Curriculum Support Grants to local educators, focusing on
visual arts, performing arts andsciences. |

Florence, SC – Four Florence
restaurants will unite to create one menu for the
“Experience the Vision: An Evening to Savor” fundraising
event on Wednesday in downtown Florence. “Experience the
Vision” is a farm-to-table dinner and wine tasting with
proceeds to benefit the American Red Cross. The funds raised
from the event will help the Red Cross provide services to
people affected by house fires and help provide potentially
life-saving tools and information about home fire prevention
and safety. |
Deep Gap, NC - Since welcoming
its first participants in 2014, de la Cruz Farms has
opened its gates for what has been life-changing
experiences for most. Providing a variety of positive,
interactive (farm) experiences for children and families
who are dealing with difficult life circumstances and/or
challenging needs, the nonprofit organization is located
in the heart of the Deep Gap community. In an effort to
continue providing these meaningful experiences, the
owners will host its annual on-site fundraising event on
Saturday. Guests will enjoy a barbecue chicken dinner
with live music provided by The Laurel Creekers, in
addition to a live auction and a look around the farm,
while learning more about the beneficial programs it
provides for youngsters with special needs. |

Chapel Hill, NC - Chopt Creative
Salad Company is opening its second Triangle location in
Eastgate Crossing Shopping Center in Chapel Hill this
Wednesday. Before they officially open their doors they
are inviting friends and neighbors for a free preview on
Tuesday for Chopt Gives Day. Bring a cash donation for
Kitchen Patrol, Lantern Restaurant’s project to help
children discover the skills they need for a lifetime of
cooking and eating, and TABLE whose mission is to
provide healthy, emergency food aid every week to hungry
children living in Chapel Hill and Carroboro. Guests
will receive a complimentary salad with any donation. |
Seattle, WA - Seattle has been
selected to host the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games,
and a very special committee is kicking things off with
a fundraiser featuring Special Olympics athletes, as
well as a who's who of sports celebrities. The USA Games
will welcome four thousand athletes and coaches from
across the country, to take part in a number of
Olympics-style events. Add tens of thousands of
volunteers and spectators, and it's sure to be an
energy-packed experience. The Rise with Us fundraiser
takes place Thursday at Pier 57 (Miner's Landing) on the
Seattle Waterfront. |

Lubbock, TX - Running2Rescue
held their 6th annual fundraising event Saturday
morning. The annual 5K, 10K and Family Fun Run was held
at Mackenzie Park. Organizers said over 1,500 runners
and walkers participated in the event last year. They
hoped to increase that number this year. The funds
raised will benefit the OneVo!ceHome, a nonprofit based
in Lubbock and working to open a needed shelter for
underage girls saved from sex trafficking. |
Cottonwood Shores, TX - The Hill
Country Community Theatre will hold a fundraising event
"Hooray for Hollywood!" on Friday. The show will be
performed by the Hill Country Community Theatre Players
and will feature hit songs from the movies, including
"Over the Rainbow", "My Heart Will Go On", "Moon River",
"Chim Chim Cher-ee", "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be,
Will Be)", "Hakuna Matata", "Under the Sea", You've Got
a Friend in Me", a salute to the music of James Bond,
and many more! |

St. Louis, MO - A local business
owner has launched a t-shirt sale fundraiser for flood
victims in Eureka, Valley Park and Pacific. Elizabeth
Arway, owner of Creative Entourage, designed a line of
t-shirts and tank tops that will be locally produced and
printed to raise funds for the Society of St. Vincent de
Paul, which works alongside local disaster committees to
help families evacuate their homes before the flooding
and provides housing and storage for affected families. |
Savannah, GA - A fundraiser for
the CSAH Tiny House Project for Homeless Veterans will
be held Thursday at Ships of the Sea Museum. For $10,
you get a door prize ticket, one Service Brewing Beer
ticket, and entrance to the "Tiny House, Big Heart"
fundraiser. Service Brewing Company, Ships of the Sea,
and Judge Realty have teamed up to help Chatham-Savannah
Authority for the Homeless raise the first land payment
of $30,000 for the Tiny House Project. |

Windsor, ON - The Windsor Cancer
Foundation kicked off its second annual “This One’s for
the Girls” fundraising campaign on Monday. The annual
spring-time fundraising campaign, which was kicked off
with a ceremony at Central Park Athletics, allows
individuals and corporations to register online and
raise pledges to support local cancer awareness,
research and treatment for women battling cancer in
Windsor and Essex County. |
Brentwood, TN - The
Brentwood-Franklin Woman’s Service Club is holdings its
annual “Step Up, It’s a Charity Affair” fundraising
event next Tuesday. The guest speaker for the event is a
well-known name from the world of University of
Tennessee sports: former Women’s Athletic Director Joan
Cronan. Cronan will share stories about her long career
in sports and sign copies of her book, “Sports is Life
with the Volume Turned Up!” The fundraiser will also
feature the announcement of the Woman’s Club’s latest
Woman of the Year. |

Mebane, NC - E.M. Yoder Elementary
School students are racing for a cause. The school hosted
its first Walk for Wisdom fundraiser on Friday to raise
money for library books and solar lights for the Nyarweng
Primary School in Ruweng State, South Sudan, as part of
their first year as one of the Alamance-Burlington School
System’s global schools. The event kicked off with an
Olympics-style opening ceremony, involving a parade of
homemade flags for each continent, and continued throughout
the day as grade levels took turns racing, running and
walking to raise the money their parents, friends and family
members pledged per lap. |
Benzonia, MI - The world of film
has changed since Rich Brauer made his first in the
1970s. Three souvenirs from the era - vintage
16-millimeter reels - will star in the “COG Reel”
fundraising event Saturday. He will thread the film
strips through a non-digital projector to show them on a
screen. Wenkel founded COGNiTiON after visiting a
hands-on learning center in Toledo, Ohio a few years
ago. She purchased a small building in Beulah to host a
variety of family-friendly activities. The nonprofit
COGNiTiON Science and Discovery Center is hosting this
as a fundraising event. |

Rancho Santa Fe, CA - The
Foundation for Animal Care and Education (FACE
Foundation) recently announced that its seventh annual
Bags and Baubles fundraising event raised more than
$100,000 to help bridge the gap in helping pet owners
pay for life-saving veterinary care. Donations are still
filtering to the nonprofit with an ongoing tally. Four
hundred guests attended the recent fundraiser, which
also included nearly 65 volunteers. |
Billings, MT - Many people from
the Billings area might remember Lil' Peetzas - a
business that sold a special kind of pizza. This special
order was also found on the Dairy Queen menu. Well, the
owner of Lil' Peetza's has a sister who is selling a
similar food item with a similar recipe called 'pizzaritos'
as a fundraising effort. Pizzaritos are burritos with
pizza toppings inside. This delicious food sale was a
fundraiser for the Billings Masonic Center. The
fundraiser was held at the Billings Masonic Center
during their third annual flea market. |
